About Sylvia
Hi! I am Sylvia Stewart-Bates, a graduating senior who will be attending Davidson College this fall. I have volunteered as a writing center intern at my school for the past two years and worked with a vareity of students. In addition, I have served on my school's integrity coucil to educate the community on the importance of integrity. I have taken AP Calculus BC (5), AP Chemistry (5), Multivariable Calculus, and am finishing up AP Biology, AP Statistics, and AP Latin right now. Math and science are my speciality, although I am really happy to help in any area I have some knowledge of. In terms of college exams, I am a National Merit Finalist and scored a 34 on the ACT and a 1520 on the SAT.
I like helping people! I enjoy talking to people and getting to know my students. Plus, it's very rewarding to see people improve in their tougher areas.
After spending two years as a writing center intern, I realized that I enjoy the challenge of working in an acedmic field and helping other people achieve their full potential.
I have worked as a writing center intern for two years at my school and have spent many hours helping students with their writing.

High schoolers, but I am open to working with anyone middle school and above.
