About Shelly

My story and love of food started in 1999 when I received my first cookbook, The Joy of Cooking, after graduating from Pharmacy school. This cookbook literally changed my life. I started working in the pharmacy and making delicious food on my days off.

After 15 years of working in the Pharmacy I went back to school to help people prevent disease. I am also a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.

When working with me you will receive one-on-one guidance in the kitchen and gain knowledge far beyond the recipe you are preparing.

I have come to realize over the years my passion is not only to help others, but to Teach! I teach Pharmacy students, cooking/baking classes and Nutrition classes.

In the kitchen, I love seeing students create amazing food and to taste what they have made.

As the quote states "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

I not only beleive in this quote but also to teach my students that Food is Medicine! We are what we eat, so let's cook and bake delicious food!

About the lesson

I like to talk with potential students and discuss what they would like to bake/cook. Classes are conducted via Zoom or Google Hangout due to Covid-19. We will review our recipe, ingredients and equipment required prior to the meeting.
