About Elizabeth
Elizabeth White began her dance studies at the age of four as a Royal Academy of Dance student focusing on Ballet, Highland,and Irish dance. Originally from Michigan she started performing at an early age with the Kalamazoo Ballet Company until relocating to New York as a student of The Juilliard School. She has performed original concert dance works under the direction of Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, Loyce Holton, and Robert Joffrey. Ms. White's choreography and performances have been hailed in reviews :"Wellspring's most electrifying dancer" and "most inspirational performer of any medium". Her choreography for concert dance and musical theater is inventive and based on a strong technical foundation. Her instinctive sense of music is apparent in her expressive and passionate style of choreography. As an instructor of dance Ms.White teaches a range of levels from beginning children to the advanced professional dancer. Her commitment to inspiring self confidence in dancers combined with her extensive knowledge of dance is rare. Ms. White's students explore their own creativity while receiving the highest level of dance technique. Elizabeth White believes in trading the body towards a professional career while protecting the imaginative spirit.
