About Memo

I got started because I needed a challenge, and dancing challenges me every single day, I love the fact that even with all my knowledge I will for ever be a student of this art, I love music and love the connection that dancing gives you, the confidence and ability to think on your toes (literally) the body movement and how it also helps keep you active and healthy

I've been training at various dance schools through out LA in different dance styles for the last 10 years, 7 years experience in salsa partner work, and competed in various world competitions for the passed two years, 6 years experience in bachata partnering and also competed in various world competitions, and won a couple competitions, I have worked in private events for the last 5 years, and choreographed for weddings, quinceañeras, ect... I have taught private parties and private social events for large crowds.

About the lesson

I usually start step by step with the basic footwork and correct frame, I break down every count slowly and move forward from there depending on how fast or slow the student learns, as we move on we work on musicality which is very important

I have worked mostly with beginners and people who have never danced, most people do tell me that they have "two left feet" and with in months they are dancing like if they were naturals! I've worked with kids, couples, large groups of people, old and young, pretty much people from all walks of life

To look for someone who is patient and willing to help you even if you need to go over a move 1000 times! Patience is a virtue and I believe that a good teacher should be very patient

A group of friends and I started a non profit group called "Dancers Giving Back" we raise money to help the community and the homeless, largely we have focused on orphanages who need help we do events where I sometimes teach salsa/ bachata and also MC to raise money for the orphans, for school supplies and food great cause that mixes my love for dance and helping the ones who need it most
