About Nicole

Greetings, having been labeled with dyslexia as a child, I created a teaching style that actually helps each student learn in a way that fits them best. I teach you techniques and how to use those techniques to develop and craft your own style. I assess each student and class to see what YOU need and aim to deliver you with an artful and wonderful learning experience!

I've been teaching since I was in high-school. It started when I was put in classes that were too easy for me and so I began to help the other students. I remember how good it felt, how useful I felt and I loved the feeling of being able to contribute to someone else's happiness and success.

I find happiness and fulfillment in art and health. I love to teach in a way that helps each person on their journey as a crafter, an artist or just to feel better.

I studied ceramics, painting and drawing for years. I also received a degree in animation and industrial design from the Art Institute of Seattle in 2002.

I'm also a Certified Life, Art & Health Coach and specialize in a transformative therapy called Rapid Transformational Therapy which combines the most effective parts of NLP, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Hypnotherapy.

I've been engaged in some kind of art since before I could remember. Starting with my grandmother teaching me how to knit and crochet at the age of 7, moving into a variety of crafts, drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture and then into bookbinding.

Raven Art Center used to be an art studio in Nob Hill. I currently teach classes around New Mexico and Virtually.

I specialize in teaching with NON-Toxic Art Supplies. Having seen too many people suffer from toxic ingredients and being sensitive to them myself, I make sure that all products are safe for people to use so that you can stay healthy and be creative longer!
