About Kennedi

As an art teacher, I've had experience teaching a wide variety of ages and experiences. From 0 experience to years of experience, I enjoy working with all levels and ages of artists. My lessons are interactive, engaging, and make you think critically yet constructively about your own art and other's.

As a COVID Spring 2020 graduate, I was pushed into the art world at a very unstable time. During my time at home, I worked freelance projects that boosted my experience, and am proud to say I'm currently working with a local studio to pitch an animated TV show to Cartoon Network and Warner Bros animation.

My experience teaching has a wide range in interface as well. I've taught classes of 16 in person and online as well as 1 on 1 private tutoring and over the phone instruction. COVID 2020 taught me that I can teach through anything at anytime, and can teach my students, no matter their experience or age, to be proud of their work and learn healthy habits for a healthy artist.

I have a BFA in Illustration for Animation (visual development). I have been teaching for 5 years both in person and online.

About the lesson

I always ask a few questions so I can have a better handle on their current level of experience with art. Questions are as follows;

What kind of art do you like to do? Paint, draw, etc?
If you could get hired as an artist, what would you want your job to be?
Show me your most favorite artwork that you've ever done, and your least favorite.
Can you make some artists that you like?
What are some of your favorite animated films? TV shows?
