About Deborah

Professional art studio featuring ceramics, pottery, drawing, sculpture, instruction for all levels beginning to advanced. Studio 1060 is housed at the Four Points Gallery/Studio in Las Cruces, NM. Deborah Moore is Studio 1060, has been teaching art to students young and older since art school in 1985. Large groups, small groups and individual lessons are offered throughout the week. Five week sessions are offered with clear objectives stated to assure the student's success.

I graduated with my Master's in Fine Arts from Clemson University in 1988. My undergraduate degree is from Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis, IN 1985. I love making art, looking at art, studying art and sharing art with students. I have been teaching art at the El Paso Community College for over 15 years where I teach Art Appreciation, Design, Figure Drawing, beginning drawing, and Ceramics and ceramic sculpture.

If you have goals in mind for moving forward in making art, understanding art more fully, or in mastering specific technics of art, then I am the teacher for you.

I have a MFA in studio art, I have been teaching for over 25 years to all grade levels including college and adult education. I am canvas and blackboard certified, I also offer classes live on zoom calls. I have been working as an online teacher for over 10 years.

About the lesson

Introductions, materials list, some books and videos to preview, then we get started. Art making is fun and also a process, so the sooner we get going actually practicing the better the student is able to add skills that make art making a lot of fun.
