About Cecilia

Awards in watercolor painting, published work and licensed work across the U.S.

I tutor students that want to learn the techniques of watercolor and grow as an artist.

I began teaching friends and family 40 years ago. I've been asked to teach several children's classes in art, and have tutored individual students at my studio.

About the lesson

We will cover a set of exercises in watercolor and go over the basics of colors and pigment differences, paper, materials, and assess where the student is in his/her training and what they would like to accomplish.

3rd grade to adult.

Make sure your basics are in place before expecting to paint like a master! :-)

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about what level of accomplishment you are realistically willing to work towards. Understand that it takes time, and practice to reach skilled abilities. With that in mind, enjoy the process, every painting session teaches and reveals more understanding about the medium.
