About Jill

I have an endless passion for art and love to share it with others. I believe my lessons are superior because I have a ability to quickly assess what my students need to learn and help them achieve their goals. With over 30 years in the creative industry I have much knowledge to share.

It is very rewarding when I see my students grow and embrace their own art voice.

I have a BA in Design/Fune Art from American University and MA in Eduction Technology from UNiversity of Connecticut. I also am Certified to teach in Connecticut since 2002. I have always wanted to share my passion for art with others.

I am a state certified teacher since 2002 and professional artist for over 30 years. I have worked with individuals in every age group from beginners to highly experienced levels. I have taught both privately and in large class settings.

About the lesson

I quickly assess art skills my students need to acquire in order to be successful. All students begin with exercises relating to Elements of Art and Principles of Design. Art media techniques can be applied to any subject matter.

I have worked with students from beginner to expert level in every age group.

I would advise any student to be patient and have confidence we all as humans have the ability to develop an art voice.

During the holiday season I volunteered to do a local demonstration in Oxford, Connecticut sharing my art techniques with Santa present. It was great to meet local people, especially the young children. One young seven-year-old girl approached me while I was painting and discussed deep understanding of art done by Mark Chagall. It was such a treat!

Details

Art lessons cost $40 per lesson online or $60 per lesson in studio. If students prefer to use my art supplies during the session the cost is $75. Some students choose to work longer in the studio for 90 minute sessions. This allows artist development more quickly. The cost is $90 per longer lesson and $100 with supplies.
