About Genna

I am a certified elementary and Special Education teacher in New Jersey and New York. I have experience teaching general education k-5 and self contained autistic students. I also can tutor in French, which I studied in college. I am looking to offer my services this summer either online or in person.

I love working with children and the joy on a child's face when they can do or understand something for the first time! I love watching my students grow and I strive to push them to think more deeply and reach their full potential!

I studied education in college. My first job was at a Montessori school.

I have been an elementary teacher for 8 years, and tutored before that in college. I am certified to teach k-5 elementary and special education students.

About the lesson

I will normally confer with parents and the student to get to know the students likes, dislikes, strengths and weaknesses. I will also use pre-assessments.

I have worked with students in grades k-5, bother general and special education students.

I would hire a teacher who you have a strong connection with on your first encounter, relationships are the basis of learning.

I just had a baby this fall and watching her grow and learn each day is the greatest joy of my life!
