About Consuelo

My passion for doing this is really to just help out younger children who are in need of help with their English for a reasonable price. I think helping out the younger generation would help the future in knowing that these kids at least have the ability to express themselves; this would be by starting out with being able to read and write. Before starting this English tutoring business, I was really scared to do only for the fact that this is my first time. I know that I haven't helped a lot but the real inspiration behind this is my baby brother who is currently learning how to speak. I would like to help other children who are too shy or can't pronounce words or write them. I have been to the Stanislaus County Spelling Bee and that was where I got my love for helping out younger kids learn to read and write. When I was in elementary school, after school I would sometimes help out the kindergarteners with a word or how to prounounce it but it wasn't anything extreme.

I got started teaching when I was in 5th grade with the kindergarten students who were still there after school and needed help. I would help them with what they needed like spelling and math. After that I had started helping out my younger cousins and sister with what they needed as well. My experience isn't a lot but I am very patient and I love to help kids with what they need.

I have tutored younger children in kindergarten. It wasn't professional, it was just something to pass time. I have also helped my younger cousins and sibling with their homework.

About the lesson

My process would include to ask them or their parents what they need help in. Once I know what they need help with, I would begin with what they specifically need help on or it's just in general with reading or spelling, I would show them flashcards and games to help them.

I have worked with kids from kindergarten to 7th grade. Right at this second I am helping a 1st grader, a 6th grader, and a 7th grader with what they need help with. I would love to help the younger students like from kindergarten and the other grades as well.

A recent event I was fond of was when I was helping my younger cousin with his vocabulary and he had a test the next week. After he took the test he was so happy because he got a good score on it. That really reignited the spark in me to want to help kids with what they need.
