About Breanna
I am a certified teacher with experience at many age levels. I am currently teaching fourth grade reading in Dallas but have also taught kindergarten and first grade as well. My background is in English Literature and I am currently working on certifications to teach middle and high school English as well.
I have had many students come into my classroom that were reading below level. However, by the end of the school year many of the students were reading at or above level
I got started in teaching when I realized that teaching was something that is rewarding for both the student and the teacher.
I am a certified teacher with experience at the elementary level. I also have a degree in English Literature.

When working with a new student, I like to use beginning, middle and end benchmark assessments to be able to determine the student's current reading level. This allows me to determine an individualized plan for each student and allows me to track the progress of each student.
I have worked with students from a variety of background including: low socioeconomic levels, special education, and students from a wide variety of religions and races.
