About Davanh
I believe learning should be a fun and engaging process. I enjoy getting to know my students and creating lessons based off of their interests. High engagement during lessons leads to lasting results. I have been studying Early Childhood Education for two years and will recieve my Bachelor's in Education at the end of this year. I have taught a long side many veteran teachers in grades K-5. These experiences has shown me a variety of teaching strategies to support students. I follow the common core standards when tutoring to ensure my students are reaching their academic goals.
I enjoy helping students reach their learning goals while also having fun doing it!
I am the oldest of five siblings. This meant I was automatically the "at home tutor" when it came to homework help. Let's just say my siblings were not the biggest fans of homework. I had to get creative in the ways I helped them. My experiences helping my siblings with their homework sparked my passion for learning.
I am always studying early childhood education. I believe learning never stops and as a teacher it is important to understand a variety of teaching practices.

When working with a new student, I like to take time to get to know them. This helps me learn about their interests and gives me ideas on how to create engaging lessons. I will also take some time assessing their prior knowledge. This process will help me understand how I can best support their needs.

Ms. Davanh was the sweetest tutor! Xaviar has a hard time with certain concepts and she was very patient and understanding. After the session Xaviar finished his work faster than usual and would not stop talking about how much Ms.Davanh helped him. I highly recommend her!
Ms. Davanh is patient and really tries to explain things in a way that my child could comprehend! My child really enjoyed working with her and made the lesson interesting! I will continue to use her!
