About NANCY

Ni Hao! I am a Middle/High School teacher from America, but I currently teach in Mainland China. (Don't worry! I will find the perfect time for you!) I have taught at every level. I currently tutor primary students in China, but I have taught research and writing in Law School.

I will guide you to success in your studies because I will focus on YOU! How do you study? What is your learning style? Are you studying the wrong information? The subject is important, but how you approach your studying is equally as important.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Middle and High School EFL Teacher, Dongguan Foreign Language School, a Chinese G1-12 Public-School, Dongguan, China (2017 – Present}

· Teach EFL to 350+ Chinese middle/high school students; design and prepare course materials for diverse ages and cultural backgrounds; refine listening and grammar skills for testing that determines educational pathways to high school, college or vocational school.

· Serve as lead EFL teacher for G-9, high school French and Speech; developed and redesigned EFL curriculum to integrate Readers Theater; oversaw implementation and assessed effectiveness; documented 65% improvement in participation.

· Utilize differentiated methods including Flipped Classroom: demonstrate tea culture; Group Work: vocabulary using context clues; Project-Based Learning: make a film about your friends; Role Play: apply for a driver’s license.
