About Abbi
I am a patient, compassionate person who sincerely wants my students to learn, grow, and feel successful. I want learning to be a positive experience, and I'm always looking for new ways to make learning exciting, fun, and meaningful.
I enjoy seeing students grow more confident, and I love watching their excitement when they overcome hurdles and succeed.
I have always enjoyed working with kids. I began volunteering at summer camps as a young person, and I never stopped working with kids since! I love learning from my students, making life fun, and making each child feel like he or she is empowered and capable.
I am completing a degree in psychology and chlid development. I am a certified early childhood educator, and have worked with children age 0-15 for over ten years.

I get to know each individual student, and figure out strengths and areas where he or she needs more support. I'm very patient, and I know that every person has a way he or she learns best. I want every student to feel confident, strong, and excited about learning.
I've worked with elementary and middle-school students. I've worked with students who have developmental and learning differences, I've taught Hebrew for Bar and Bat Mitzvah learning (Jewish ceremony for a 13-year old!) and I've also taught music - guitar, voice, and piano.
I would look for a teacher or tutor you feel comfotable with! Someone you trust, feel you can be honest with, and communicate openly without fear of judegement. A positive relationship and trust make a huge difference when it comes to learning!
I teach music over zoom every week. I love seeing my students' smiling faces, even if they aren't near me in person. I miss the in-person connection, but seeing them on camera brings me so much joy.
