About Valeria

I've been an adjunct professor at Houston Community College since August 2005. I've taught all the levels of intensive English courses. I've a master's degree in Linguistics and have done one on one tutoring for almost three years. I speak French and understand a little bit of spanish. I'm passionate about helping a student who can barely write or speak english master the dos and don'ts of the English language.

I was hired to teach at the Houston Community College and over the years my students refferred their family members for one on one tutoring.

I've taught Esl and ESOL courses for more than a decade. My lingusitics background is an advantage. It helps me undertsand my students better.

About the lesson

I usually begin with an assessment to determine the student's level. Once that is identified, I provide a course outline.

Mostly College students and business owners
