About Taylor
Have you ever had trouble understanding English composition, grammar, or requirements? Have you struggled to write a critical essay? Have you ever needed just a little extra assistance understanding a literary assignment? Just give me a call, and together we can improve your understanding, comprehension, and capabilities in any English assignment. I am a college-educated English major and have received straight A's in all of my English classes. I have written many essays, the most difficult being a research paper I was assigned for my Anthropology class, in which I also received remarkable scores. I am constantly challenging myself linguistically and would love the chance to help anyone struggling with their own English abilities, no matter how large or small the problem.
As an English native or a person for whom English is not your first language, you may hear the phrase, "English is the hardest language in the world to understand," and this is true. English, particularly American English has a lot of rules it must follow, but sometimes these rules negate each other. An example of this would be how the 'sh' suffix sounds in fish, yet this same sound is made by a 'ci' in proficient.
Though there are many confusing aspects of English, I view the language as a challenge that needs to be faced. I love learning new features such as how certain words have emotions attached to them. I read a lot of books; about one every two weeks, and I constantly challenge myself to read literature that grows my vocabulary and expands my knowledge. I also love to write fiction short stories and am working on starting a novel about a dystopian future.

- Identify the assignment and/or problematic efforts.
- Explain the expectations of the teacher for said assignment in a way that makes sense to the student.
- Walkthrough the assignment with the student and work to fix issues step-by-step.
