About Dawn
Hello! My name is Dawn from the United States and I live in Dayton, Nevada. I have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and recently returned back to school to expand my career path.
My background includes helping adult learners improve their English. I taught programming as a Youth Development
Professional in the areas such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math),
tutoring during Power Hour, and offering guidance and encouragement during
Positive Action.
I consider myself a life-long learner and a life-long teacher. My specialty is teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) through lessons and conversation. I love teaching and seeing the excitement in one's eyes as they improve their
skills and become more confident. It makes my heart melt when I can see a smile and glimmer in a learner's eyes!
My teaching style is adaptable and often hybrid. I strive to balance teaching and am happy to focus on my learner's learning style. I can easily teach the material, become the observer/listener, and engage in conversation, or any combination of these.
I am passionate about helping others live their best lives and love seeing learners
smile when they improve their English
