UPDATE: As of May 2020, Christopher Elliott aka Frii (pronounced “free”), set the FIRST EVER Official World Record for the Longest Alliteration. This feat was achieved with the publication of his poetry book The Epic Poem: Mastermind. This record has been included in the Record Holder’s Republic- Registry of Official World Records. Born Christopher Antonio Elliott, “The Real Frii” (formerly “FriiStyle Gahspol”), literally, has his way with words. As a seasoned orator and lyricist, Christopher (“Frii”) has created quite a niche for himself as a speaker, poet, recording artist, author, and burgeoning actor. A native of New Haven, Connecticut (USA), Frii began speaking in front of audiences at the ripe age of 16, inspiring and moving those within his local church community. Frii developed his gift and passion for speaking through his early college years, and accredits much of his skill in the written-word to a former college English professor at the University of Connecticut.

With a love for words and music, The Real Frii began performing spoken word poetry at the world famous Apollo Theater NY, as well as the historic Nuyorican Poets Cafe. Combining his love for spoken word and music, he would later record some of his first singles with Grammy award and multi-platinum producer Edwin Ramos Jr. Frii’s music and poetry gained critical appeal over the years, and he has since been called upon to grace the Apollo Theater NY stage several times, along with a slew of nationally acclaimed music competitions, festivals, and award ceremonies throughout the USA. Fresh off his first ever performance overseas at the 2018 GXMM Awards UK, 2019 would solidify Frii’s leap from national to international public figure. He would go on to be added to the special guest roster of UK’s “KISH” band’s Wake Up Warrior Tour in Switzerland and France.

Over the years, Christopher Elliott (The Real Frii) has served as a child development specialist, public servant, educator, and practitioner of restorative practices; currently volunteering his time as Director of Mentor Coordination at 3CYouth Connecticut. Combining his lyrical and teaching ability, Frii has had the pleasure of co-facilitating song writing/lyricism workshops overseas in France. In addition to his years of vocational and performance experience, Frii also holds certificates in Rhetoric/Public Speaking, Writing, and Family Engagement in Education from Harvard University.

The Real Frii seeks to inspire people to be the best version of themselves as possible, utilizing his many talents and love for words to accomplish just that. He has had the pleasure of working on projects and campaign ads for Cablevision and RedBull. In 2019 Frii began work on the set of the CBS comedy-drama “God Friended Me”, and his music video debut for the single “Lyrical Leprechaun” featured on the WTNH TV show CT Style. In 2020, Frii was cast for his first supporting role in the feature film “Footprints of an Angel”, slated to release in 2021.

I enjoy showing my students the power of words. In addition, I love to see students realize abilities that they previously did not have. When I can play a role in the aforementioned, I get a sense of true fulfillment in my life.

I got started teaching back in 2002, simply working in summer camps with inner city youth. Over the years that experience has evolved into work and responsibilities in various capacities.

My vocational experience includes approximately 12 years of combined work as a child development specialist, educator, and mentor director for students age 7 to college undergraduates. I have also traveled internationally as a speaker, poet, and performer. My relevant education consists of specialized training in Rhetoric, Writing, Public Speaking, and Family Engagement in Education from Harvard University.

About the lesson

When working with a new student I like to find out what there level of experience is first. Information gathering is key, and will also cover me finding out what their ultimate goals are for the lessons. Once we have established that, I can begin working with the student at their individual level.

I have worked in charter schools and enrichment programs supporting elementary students to college age young adults. I have also worked with special needs students grades K-8, and have had the pleasure of co-facilitating writing workshops internationally in France.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should definitely think about their goals, and what it is they want to accomplish in the end. They should also think about what their learning style, whether they are better visual or audible learners etc.
