About Vicki
I consider myself an education tailor who fashions each lesson for the individual in which it is intended.
Throughout my 18 year career in education, I have worked with students of all different ages and backgrounds. It is such a joy to watch students set goals and then work toward achieving them. Success does not come in one fell swoop; it is optained incrementally.
I started teaching when trying to make some quick cash substitute teaching while a college student. I got sucked in and never left!
History was my passion in college as I earned a B.A in Social Science and an M.A. in History. And I worked as a high school history teacher for several years. Then, I became a mom and desired a more flexible work schedule which led me to becoming the GED instructor I am today. So, I now get to teach all the fun subjects: language arts, social studies, science and math!

First, I'd like to know a bit about their background and what's bringing them to me. Then, we would establish the goals of our lessons together.
I have been so lucky to work with a wide variety of students! I have taught students who are English Language Learners, Advanced Placement, dyslexic, ADHD, and various other special needs. I have volunteered in classrooms from Kindergarten through 12th grade as I am a mother also. And then, I get to spend evenings teaching adults! I truly have experience teaching all kinds of students.
