I have been giving private math lessons for 3 years. I have had success with students who have difficulty with other teaching techniques and look to mold the lessons to each student. My last adult student progressed 5 grade levels in the last year.

My teaching method is to ensure that my students understand why concepts work before moving on. It is better for long term learning to understand background concepts and the reasoning behind them. I typically teach adult learners, but also love to give lessons to children who need a little extra help in school.
