About Divya

I am an experienced tutor and teacher who can help your child not only achieve academic success but also become more confident. I am currently earning my doctorate in special education after having taught for 7 years as a certified special education math teacher in New York. I hold NY state certifications in childhood and special education in grades 1-12.

Over the course of 10 years, I have worked with several large tutoring centers in NY and CT and tutored students in:

- SSAT/ISEE, PSAT, SAT I/II, ACT and NYS Regents test prep;

- subject-specific academic tutoring, such as biology and math, and

- study skills.

I have classroom experience teaching math and science to students from grades 4-12 at the gifted, AP, and remedial levels and have significant experience working with students receiving services for a range of disabilities: learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and mood disorders.

My current hourly rate is $45 for online tutoring. Please feel free to contact me to negotiate a lower rate and/or in person tutoring.

About the lesson
