About Robert

I provide the high quality and personalized instruction.

It does not matter if you are a beginner or a master martial artist, I have been doing this my whole life and I continue to enrich myself so that I can pass along better information and instruction to my clients.

I offer classes at your home/business or online (when distance is a factor) and I will tailor to your needs.

I do not teach for competition. I teach you to do what is needed to win real world situations: Gun, knife, bat, multiple attacker, grappling defense, etc.

I have been doing this since I was 6. I love the creativity aspect that martial arts provides and the benefits of good health.

What I love most of all ... seeing a client achieve their Black Belt and then higher ranks of Black Belt. I also love hearing about the success stories of those that would have been a victim.

Most people will not be attacked, the problem is you do not know if it will ever be YOU, a loved one, a good friend or simply somebody that needs help. Having proper training and good skills turns the tables to your advantage.

When I was 6 years of age, I was attacked by 6 kids in a new park. This event show me that the path to martial arts was the way to no longer be a victim.

Feeling that success and my instructor asking for me to help some children learn, when I was young, simply inspired me to help others achieve that level of confidence that I gained.

I love feeling that sensation of a client achiving and succeeding.

To save time.. the short list. I have achieved a PhD in Chinese Medicine in 2014, earned my 10th Degree Black Belt in 2017, and I continue to teach P.E. at Lake Forest Elementary.

I continue to learn in all fields to expand my knowledge so that I can pass that along to my clients.

About the lesson

I need to know what my clients goals are. From there I can create a plan to achieve and excel toward achieving and exceeding their goals.

Government, FBI, CIA, Secret Service, all branches of our military.

Children, Teenagers, Adults, Women, Men, business owners, business executives, movie stars, handicap, other martial artists from various disciplines, and just about every walk of life.

I also teach outside the United States of America. (Mexico, Canada, Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Jamaica, Haiti, and the Bahamas.

I would recommend not making a hasty decision. Search carefully for what you really want.

Interview them and check their track record.

Do not ask for a discount. You would like not your instructor to discount what they are teaching you. In other words, if you want a cheap instructor, get on groupon. If you want somebody that has put the time in and you want their knowledge, then pay them what they are worth. If you are worth more, then get paid what you are deserving of.

Watching 2 of my clients: the first one is a 6th Degree Black Belt from another discipline, the other had no martial arts experience ... they both earned their 1st Degree Black Belts June 2017. It was and always is a fantastic moment seeing them put on their "well earned" Black Belts, and it is just a great feeling that I continue to teach them and others, each and every week.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Make a list of short, medium, and long term goals. Have at least a semi-plan for what you want to aim for after your met your largest goal.

Everything you do needs purpose, without purpose you have no idea why you are doing anything.

Instruction at your home:

$250. per hour/per person - within 15 miles or via online

$300. per hour/per person - within 16 to 40 miles
