About Jonathan
I've been practicing taekwondo for about 8 years, I'm a 2nd degree black belt with certification from Kukkiwon Korea, iv been teaching in cerritos ca 4 years at my masters dojo, but I also do one on one and group children & adults class, I can teach traditional class style, poomsae which is the forms white though 2nd black belt, or if u need help with flexibility or if u just want you or your child to learn the different kicks, punching & blocking, self defense. I have a kicking/punching shield, practice targets, clapper target, i also have a practice knife & gun to practice self defense. I recommend at least once a week for we can practice the basic or twice a week so it stays fresh in their heads & it'll become 2nd nature, to build confidence & self-esteem. But taekwondo isn't the only thing iv practice, iv had my hand in MMA, kickboxing. So it can be a well rounded training, training can be any length in time u need, but i recommend 30-60 min, stretching, warm up kicks & punching, cardio, form & self defense
What I love about my work is seeing my students improve & master different techniques & skill & improve there self-esteem & confidence, watching them grow & wanting to learn more
I got started teaching in my masters dojo in cerritos, I started with 10 min to now teaching multiple class a day
I trained under my grand master don s ro for 8 years, he & my other master saw how much I practiced, how I helped train their young students, so when I passed my 1st degree black belt they slowly let me teach a little bit, & then full 45 min class

My typical process is to see if the new student will have the attention span to pay attention to instructions, sometimes real young students attention span don't last too long, but i have patience so that won't be a problem, if it not for them or the parents that's no problem its not for everyone
I mostly teach kids from 5 years of age on up to adults
U want to find some with real certification, I have a 2nd degree Kukkiwon certification that u can only get from World Taekwondo Headquarters in Korea from Master that u trained under that have certification from Korea.
I love training with my wife, we train together & have fun building her self defense & punching skills
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
if u want to try taekwondo go for it! If u want to help improve your self defense, build your balance, strength in your legs, help relieve stress & tension, slim down & get lean, improve your contraction

The instructor Johnny was very patient with my 4 year old son. He got the family involved as well which helped my son be more engaged. Johnny is very knowledgeable about this style of martial arts and was willing to answer any questions.
Mr. Wauschek was very professional and respectful during the training sessions and had a lot of technical knowledge on taekwondo that he put into practice. He was able to have many newcomers maintain interest and stay committed to continue practicing martial arts
