About Pasquale
Jiyu Movement incorporates Martial Arts (Systema), Yoga & Fitness training with a principle and functional approach to learning. We meet the student where they are at, rather than trying to fit them into our box or pedagogy. Unlike most conventional routines we focus on the bigger picture of developing efficient, effortless, and fluid movement that functions in daily life and performance. There are no repetiitive routines, counting calories, reps, and sets. There are no machines, and no gym memberships or equipment required- although we may utilize medicine balls, sticks, kettlebells, etc. Instead we focus on examining ourselves through principles and customize the practice to the individual.
Training methods and are primarily body weight oriented. Inspired by cross-disciplinary methods found in dance, gymnastics, yoga, martial arts, parkour, and other skill-based movement. Appropriate and adaptable for ALL LEVELS.
I am always learning while I am teaching. To see someone else experience the same joy and awe I feel when discovering something new about their movement and find something they never knew was there or possible. And of course, helping people improve their health and outlook on life.
