About Monica

We teach men, women, and children how to protect themselves and those they care about. I learned from Grand Master Savelli who learned from Great Grandmaster Reeders, who studied under his uncle Master l. His uncle was Master Lu Seong. He studied at the the shaolin temple in the Hunan Provenance, China.

I was kidnapped when I was a teenager and have a strong passion to teach people how to stay safe.

I have a great passion to successfully teach students how to protect themselves and those they care about, because I was kidnapped and sold as a young adult. After I gave birth to my first child I decided to train to become a martial artist. I was determined to teach my children how to protect themselves and be safe. I went to a few schools until I found a teacher who had documented results in training people successful self defense. My direct teacher for the past eight years was retired from special forces after 25 years defending our country. He taught army green berets and navy seals hand to hand combat for five years. He has a bronze star. He studied under Grand Master Savelli for over 35 years. I am now a student of Grand Master Savelli. My goal is to teach students how to stay safe. I am a third degree black sash in Huc Chung Kun Tao. It is a soft style, which means we use dropping, spinning, jumping, torquing, speed, and chi to beat our opponents. Hard style means that you use muscle mass and size to beat your enemy. I do not do this to get a trophy or an award. I do this so that my students can keep themselves safe and do not have to go through what I survived.

After I had my daughter I was determined that she would grow up strong and able to defend themselves. Prior to studying under Grand Master Savelli learning Kun Tao, I studied White Dragon Pai Lum with Sifu Miranda. I went to several martial arts places and did my research to get the best teacher.

My daughter has grown up being able to defend herself and so has my son. They are not bullied and they have great self confidence. Now I am passionate about teaching others how to defend themselves and those they care about.

I have trained under Grand Master Savelli for seven years. I still train under him. I White Dragon Pai Lum for two years under Sifu Miranda. I have an Associate's degree in accounting and a culinary certificate.

The first class is free. I make a plan for their training acoording to their health and age during our first meeting.
