About Amylia
I remember what it was like to not understand a concept no matter how many times it was explained especially in math. Then one day I got this amazing teacher who knew how to explain math in such a way that I could understand it ALL, I never struggled in his class. After that, Math just "clicked". So unlike other math lovers, there was a time that it didn’t make sense to me, so I understand all the questions you may have and understand the way YOU are seeing it. That then allows me to help you in a way that you will see it the way the teacher is seeing it.
My favorite thing to see is that moment when a student suddenly gets it, you can see the light bulb go off and that "ah-ha" moment happen. Then, all the sudden, they are excited about this subject and excited about tomorrow’s lesson. What used to be a daunting dragon in their way to academic success is now the dragon they are going to partner with to take down the whole castle to get that "A". And that is the most rewarding thing about tutoring.
