About Sarah
I am currently a chemistry student at the University of Georgia. I have worked with many peers to help them better understand their science and math courses in college. While in high school, I was a teaching assistant for a middle school advanced STEM lab class. I led many lectures and gave brief lessons to fill in learning gaps for the STEM class as well as their other courses. I graduated with honors, a perfect GPA, the UGA Merit of Scholar Award, and a diploma in Capstone Research all while retaining my standing of being in the top five percent of my class of 535 students.

First, I assess the knowledge the student has retained from their classwork. I gather information provided by the student regarding how much time they have spent attempting to understand the content. I also ask the student about how many grades are left in the course, how much time is left in the course, and what they want to take away from the course. I then help the student set up achievable, short-term goals for the course. This will allow them to chart their progress while allowing me to truly evaluate their strengths and weaknesses. This allows me to provide them with more individualized help that will best benefit their particular learning style.
