About Benjamin
Growing up, I used to think Math was useless unless it was doing a check book or if I would maybe to use it to build a rocket ship or find the answer to some insanely complicated equation that was going to change the world. However, as I progressed in my college career and into the "real world" I have found that I use math in more situations than I would have ever guessed. I have an background in Accounting and Finance, but really like math at any level and am extremely patient and if I can't solve it, your session is free!
I'm the oldest of 6 and have spent many, many hours helping them with their homework over the years at every level. I have found that individual tutoring is the most effective way to help a student because you can figure out how their brain works and make sure they not only know how to solve a problem, but conceptually know what is going on so that they are able to solve the next if it is changed or moved around. Patients is key!
In college- found that I could improve my own knowledge by teaching others.
