About Katie
As a tutor and math coach, I strive to make sure kids understand the basics, as well as how they can use math in real life - which is the concern of many kids working through their different curriculum. I also strive to see kids as a whole person, not just as a student I'm working with for a short while each week. I want what we're working on and the confidence they're building within themselves to flow into every aspect of their life.
Watching kids of all ages discover the power of numbers and math is one of my favorite things about tutoring. Not only is it a great way to encourage children in their learning journey, but it's a way to ensure that kids are moving on up in math without any holes that'll cause issues later. I also love seeing them become more comfortable trying difficult problems, and gaining the confidence to ask better questions and seek deeper answers.
