About Sam
I'm a sophomore at Wake Forest University, specializing in Economics and Math. I've been a tutor there for entry level Algebra I and II classes. I also tutored throughout highschool. I am a presidential scholar at the University. I love meeting new people, teaching, and aiding in the academic experience in any way that I can.
I find pure joy in watching a student succeed in their struggles. Learning is something I've always loved, and facilitating anothers' learning is amazing.
I would help all of my friends with their homework, and after some time, I was recommended to be a tutor. From there, I have loved every minute of it.
I'm a Presidential Scholar at Wake Forest University specializing in Economics and Math. I've been a student tutor for the last 5 years (since I was a Freshman in highschool)

First session is a discussion about the class the student is attending, the overall material covered, and the specific needs that the student desires from their tutor. From there, the sessions will dive into homeworks and practice problems, with an intense focus on where the student is struggling.
I've worked with Highschool and college math students. I've also worked with students with special needs (autism, downsyndrome, etc)
Don't be afraid to admit your struggles! I'm here to help in anyway I can. Try to be as transparent as possible when telling me your needs!
I'm fond of professional sports in the nerdiest way possible. I love analyzing the athlete's statistics, comparing them to others, and just enjoying the art-like form deployed by the teams.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Have I read the directions and have a clear understanding of what the question is asking? Have I given it my best effort?
