About James

Club Z! Tutoring of Bethesda supports students throughout Montgomery County and is part of the largest in-home tutoring service providers in the United States, with over 300,000 individual students served since 1996. Our skilled and talented tutors include physicists, foreign language professionals, MCPS and private school teachers, and early education specialists - to name a few - and we come directly to each student's home. We hand-select the tutor for each student and provide one-on-one individualized instruction to help students develop to their highest potential.

All of our tutors have a love of learning and a sense of service.

Graduate degrees (MSc TU-Berlin, MBA Babson). Our tutors have degrees ranging from a bachelor's degree in education to a Ph.D. Among our tutors, we have physics teachers, scientists, culture and arts specialists, early childhood specialists, and foreign language experts - all with a passion for reaching people through tutoring.

About the lesson

We work with the family to understand and determine why the student may be struggling or how they are seeking to excel. Through the parent, we like to include the student's classroom teacher in this process as well. From this understanding, we select and match the ideal tutor based on the individual nature of the child. Kids learn differently and you have to take the time to understand the specific needs of the child.

Our students have ranged from Pre-K to Pre-Med - we individually select and place each tutor matched to the specific needs and learning style of the student.

Ask about the expertise and previous experience of working with other students in the same peer group level and academic areas.

We recently supported a community book drive in Montgomery County to support several local elementary schools. Montgomery County is a place where education and knowledge are so highly valued by the community - we love being a part of that.
