About Robert
Hello! My name is Robert and I'm a Ph.D. candidate studying Physics at the University of Chicago. I've been tutoring for 7 years now, and have a 100% success rate of getting students to a place where they are happy with their grade! Part of what makes tutoring with me unique is that I continually use the skills that I teach in my own studies, and have developed a wide variety of tools to use them effectively and understand them, which I will pass on to you. In addition, I am usually accessible even when we are between tutor sessions to answer a quick question or give you tips on a problem you encounter.
I really enjoy taking the time to view the subject from your eyes before launching into an explanation of the subject. I think that first understand how you comprehend the subject and adjusting my explanation accordingly is the most effective way to build long-term understanding. I want to work with you to help you both pass the class you are struggling in, and to also show you why what you are learning is interesting, applicable, and useful.
