About Haley

Graduated from Tulane University with a BS in mathematics. I have 5 years of tutoring experience and an extensive knowledge base of math subject including, but not limited to: algebra, geometry, calculus, differential equations. Along with math, I have a solid general education base and would be confident tutoring in other areas, as well. I am very patient and would love to help! I am working at a summer camp this summer, so I am only available until May 23rd. If you are looking for a short term solution, let me know!

When I was in high school, I strarted by tutoring my friends. Then after college, I made a profile on a tutoring website and after getting my first couple of clients, started getting referred to more people.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the Tulane University. In addition, I have tutored for over 7 years with students ranging from middle school to college.

About the lesson

I start by introducing myself, asking them about themselves, their math experience, what they are currently struggling with. Then I ask if there is something specific they want to work on, if not we pick a good starting point based on upcoming tests and where their understanding needs help. From there, we work through problems and concepts together until they understand.

I have worked with fifth graders in basic math, I have worked with college students in calculus, and I have worked with everyone in between.

Find someone who you get along with, who will see when you dont understand something and will be able to put it in words you will understand. Look for someone who has a goal of you understanding concepts and grow rather than just getting problems or homework done.

I spent 3 months scuba diving in Thailand and enjoyed the experience very much.
