About Timothy
I have teaching experience and know a wide range of tutoring/teaching multiple math content
I love seeing understanding light up in my students eyes. I love math. I love showing multiple ways of showing math content.
I knew I'd eventually get into education in one form or another when I had success tutoring.
I have 4 years of tutoring experience at the University of Alaska - Fairbanks. I also have three years of teaching experience. I did my student-teaching at UAF.

I ask the student to share a little about themselves, as much as they want to share. I also share a little something about me. I ask the student what class they are in, if it is in the same school that I have experience, I ask who their instructor is. Then I go straight into what they need help with.
I have worked with both college students taking Calculus and high school students learning the fundamentals of Algebra.
Explain, if possible, what part of the math content you are struggling with. Alot of times this will save time. But I will also be willing to go over the whole concept even though you probably will understand most of it until we get to what is confusing.
Explaining your specific confusion will help you gain a stronger understanding of it when the person who is trying to help you knows what it is.
When I explained function compositions to some precalculus students and they said they actually understood it.
