About Mary

Hello all! I am a teacher currently and have taught for 27 years in the state of PA. I have a strong background in math and sciences. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Physical Education. I have a masters in K-12 Comprehensive Special Education. I have coached field hockey and soccer. I am currently a club advisor for my schools Environmental Club, we have adopted a stream to keep clean. I have taught basic math, pre-algebra, algebra 1 and co-taught Algebra 2. I have co-taught Biology for 8 years. I work in a magnet school that is all online and has been for 8 years. My school is also connected to a Career Technical School which I also work in. I am married for 34 years and have 2 grown sons and 2 chocolate lab grand puppies. I like to spend time in the outdoors and gardening. I look forward to tutoring you. Thank you, Mary Jo Foy

I just completed the PA Criminal background check and PA Child Abuse Check and the FBI. Fingerprinting check with all results good with no warnings on any of my checks.

I went to college after high school and continued from there to move forward with my educational degrees.

I have a Masters of Education in Special Education and a Bachelors of Science in Health and Physical Education and 27 years of teaching experience in the classroom in the state of PA. I have taught basic math, pre-algebra,algebra and co taught algebra 2, co-taught Biology for 8 years and currently tutor 6th grade math and tutor in 24 career tech programs( welding, auto tech, medical assisting, allied health, ag mechanics, graphic communications, IST, marketing) to name a few. I look forward to being able to assist you in your academic challenges. Thank you.

About the lesson

I make contact via email, text or voice and set a time to meet via zoom or another platform. I will meet with you and ask where your tutoring needs are and we will discuss times to meet and what to expect at each meeting. Thank you.

I am one of the advisors for my schools environmental club. Two years ago the club adopted a creek close to the school that we clean two times a year. We have a sign along the road that mentions our school and club. We are very proud to have adopted this portion of the local stream. We also kayak on this stream!
