About Isabelle
I have always had a passion for mathematics, and enjoy helping others to develop an appreciation for the subject. I have experience tutoring college level math students at Allegheny College, which I will continue doing this fall. I'm quite familiar with online tutoring and will do my best to teach in a way that best works for the student.
I am a mathematics major at Allegheny College and will be heading into my second year this fall. I took and received As in all high school honors math classes. Currently, I have taken courses up to college level Calculus 2. I have been a mathematics tutor at Allegheny College for students in Calculus 1 or lower.

Introductions come first, of course, and I will then discuss any specific learning methods that the student feels work best for them. I am patient when working with a new student so that we can find the most effective teaching method.
I have mainly tutored high school and college students, but I have worked with students as young as age 5 in other jobs.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about whether you are more of a visual learner or if, generally, the numbers just make sense to you as long as you can understand where everything is coming from. Think about whether you typically need to be walked through every step or you can usually understand certain parts of a problem and simply need the tutor to connect certain pieces.
