I used to struggle with academics in high school. I had a teacher though, who was amazing and made me love physics. Thanks to that one teacher physics has become I life long love. I was never naturally book smart but I learned that with hard work and dedication, you can achieve amazing things. I also learned that teachers make or break a class. If I could be the type of teacher that could help students love math and physics, then I know I would be successful, like my teacher was for me. His love for physics and the way he taught changed my life.

2 years of tutoring and being a teacher's assistant for college level chemistry and phyisics, some experience student teaching physics and chemistry for high school students. In June 2020, a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Computer Programming.

Get to know the student, what are their questions, what do they struggle with? I always try to find ways that they learn best. Each person has different strenths with different styles of learning and my goal is to find out what that is for each student and help them use that to understand material.

Middle school, high school, and college level students.

Well give me a try, it won't cost you anything to try me out. The main advice I would give is it is okay to feel confused and there is no shame in needing help. I love learning and it is the act of learning that makes us better. Striving for greater things. If you had asked me even 5 years ago if I would have majored in math and computer programming, or have done so well in physics, I wouldn't have believed you. I had to learn to believe in myself. There is nothing I cannot do if I put my mind to it and you are the same way. You just have to want it bad enough.

I am not sure how recent this is but my brother in law has stage 4 T Cell Lymphoma. He needed a bone marrow transplant and my husband was a perfect match. They used to drill the marrow from the hip and it was said to be extremely painful. Recently they have found a way to make it less invasive, by giving injections to the donor over a week that allows the bone marrow to be drawn from the blood. I love that science is constantly finding ways to improve upon what we know and teaching us how to be better.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It isn't a question, but if a student have give specifics of what they are struggling with it will help teachers address their needs.

If a student is struggling, they should ask themselves, why are they struggling? What about the material is it that they struggle with? What about the teacher's teaching style do they struggle with?
