About Rishabh

As a senior in highschool, I know what good and bad teaching looks like. As a kid, lessons bored me and I could never stay focused. Many times this was because of mind-numming worksheets and poor teaching. As a tutor myself, however, I will try to make lessons engaging, simple, and not too work-heavy.

Tutoring children has always been a hobby of mine. For years I have been visiting Cumming Elementary School to help the students there improve their math, writing, and reading skills. After tutoring them for so long, I decided to align my passion of biology and hobby of tutoring. I aspire to be a great pediatrician, not only by helping children with health needs but also by teaching them to learn and practice healthy habits. Now in order to reach this career goal, I want to work and help kids learn as much as I can!

As a highschool student, I still practice basic math skills along with more advanced concepts like calculus on an almost daily basis! Along with this, I have years of experience tutoring at Cumming Elementary school. I have also experienced what getting tutored is like, so I know what works and what doesn't. As of now I am taking college level calculus, so you know I had to get my fundamentals down!

About the lesson

For a new student, it would be great to know the topics beforehand so I can prepare a lesson plan and worksheets accordingly. From there I'll guage the student's current abilities with the material. If the students shows strong abilities with some topics and has more trouble with other topics, we will focus on those weaker topics with tips and tricks to solving the problem. I will address how I would solve the problem and we will continue with more worksheets and/or practice problems with increasing difficulty over time so the student can master the concepts.
