About Brandon
I am a high school math teacher with 11 years of experience. I have been voted teacher of the year on two different occasions. I have also been a varsity baseball coach, and I was voted district assistant coach of the year on one occasion. I began tutoring one on one while in college, and I have been doing it ever since. I have also served as a Young-Life sponsor.
I enjoy working with young people, and I enjoy helping them to discover what inspires them. I have worked with many different students from so many different education backgrounds and learning styles. I love discovering what it is that makes each individual student "click," and then using that to make tremendous advancements in their learning.
I would love to talk with you about how I can help you and your child!
In college, I worked as a counselor at a christian camp for inner-city kids. I fell in love with working with young people, and that's what made me decide to pursue a career in teaching.
I am a certified high school math teacher, with 11 years of experience, and I have been tutoring students 1 on 1 for 20 years.

I always prefer to have a phone consultation with the parent. This gives me background on the student, and helps my approach. I like to know if they've worked with another tutor, if there were any issues, if there are issues with the teacher/teaching style, etc... Many times I have had a quick meeting with the parent and child in person, just to make sure we vibe and everyone feels comfortable working together. My biggest obligation, aside from student success, is making sure the student AND parent are both comfortable with us being a team.
