About Vanessa

I am former high school math teacher for four years and taught a range of classes from basic algebra to AP Calculus. During that time I also taught a couple of College Allegra classes at the community college.

I now work as an engineer and I love my job, but I do miss helping students who struggle in math or who just may want to improve their skillset.

I have a BA in Math, MA in Secondary Exication and over 20 credits in graduate level mathematics.

About the lesson

I first like to get to know what they are looking for, do a fundamental assessment while observing their learning style

ALL students, high risk to low risk

Are they knowledgeable in the learning styles and can accommodate them.

I was asked to help senior high school students to pass the state exam so they could graduate. They were struggling for many years, but after working with them everyday all but 1 didn't pass and it was a very special moment seeing how much it meant to them when several students came up to me crying and thanking me.
