About Jason

Welcome to my page! I am an experienced and results-driven high school math tutor with over a decade of experience tutoring students from the middle school level all the way through the graduate/Master's level.

My passion is to empower students to excel in courses that they may be struggling with. My sessions are fun, upbeat, and engaging. Students leave each session feeling positive and optimistic about their coursework which leads to outstanding results!

Every student learns differently and it is my goal to learn how my students learn so that they can get the help they need and deserve. A subject is only as difficult as the way that the teacher presents the content. I am a firm believer that with the right teaching method, any student can excel in any subject!

What do I Tutor:

- All levels of middle school, high school and college level math

- All levels of middle school, high school level science

- College science classes (i.e. Organic chemistry, Physics 1+2, Chemical Engineering courses, and more!)

- Test Prep (SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT)

My Background:

I studied at Umass Lowell where I received a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering with a 4.0 GPA while working as a Teaching Assistant in the Chemical Engineering labs!

Prior to college, I went to a private high school in southern NH. In high school, I scored a 5 on the AP Calculus BC, AP Physics, and AP Chemistry exams as well as achieving a perfect score on the math section of the SAT.

My Policies:

Payment Policy: Sessions are billed in 15-minute increments with a 1 hour minimum. Exceptions are made for certain circumstances so please ask if needed!

Accepted Payment Methods: Venmo and Zelle

Cancellation Policy: Due to high demand for tutoring, I ask that all students give at least 12 hours notice for session changes (ex. time change, cancellation, duration change)! Cancellations/changes within 12 hours of session will be charged for the session.

About the lesson

When starting with a new tutoring student, I focus on building a strong foundation of understanding and connection:

• Listen & Learn: I take time to understand their goals, challenges, and learning history—what works, what doesn’t, and what makes them confident or unsure.

• Understand Learning Style: Through open-ended questions and quick assessments, I figure out their learning style—whether they’re visual, hands-on, auditory, or a mix of styles.

• Quick Start: We dive into a topic or two to see how they approach the material, giving me a sense of their strengths, problem-solving strategies, and confidence level.

• Tailored Approach: From there, I adapt my teaching methods and tools to match their unique style, ensuring they feel comfortable and motivated.

• Fun & Professional: I keep the lessons engaging and dynamic while maintaining a high standard of professionalism—learning should be both enjoyable and effective.

• Celebrate Progress: We celebrate all victories—big or small—to foster a positive learning environment.

Ultimately, my goal is to create a trusting relationship where the student feels supported, understood, and empowered to succeed!
