Spend some of the first session getting to know each other talking about our academic experience and perspectives before any tutoring. Then I prefer to teach students different ways of breaking down concepts so they have a viable strategy for problems of any level of difficulty.
Mostly high school students from all kinds of backgrounds, many with ADHD, dyslexia, and several other learning disabilities.
