About Brittney

I'm always excited when someone accomplishes something! It's wonderful to see the happiness and confidence when a problem is solved.

I'll do my best to be your best cheerleader and to help when you have trouble.

What I enjoy the most is reviewing subjects. Even if I've learned them before, it's really cool to hear how the subject is interpreted by someone else.

Assisting other people when they need it is another thing I enjoy.

It started in my first chemistry class. I think what made the class easy for me was how interested I was in what I was learning.

Someone asked me how I did it, and I honestly couldn't come up with an answer for them. Two years later, I found myself assisting two people in my chemistry class and I think I helped improve their next test scores. It was really nice to see them so happy!

I am a college student and I have completed higher Math classes, and higher Chemistry classes. With that said, there's still some material I may not be up to date with, and I will need to improve in that area.

About the lesson

My typical process is trying to discover what makes the subject fun or interesting for the student.

Some of the material can be difficult, and I find that making it interesting and connecting the material to something fun can make learning a lot more interesting.

I've mainly worked with students around my age, slightly older, or much younger. The two in my chemistry class were my age and slightly older. I've only worked a few times with younger students, and I like hearing how people think and approach their subjects.

Find a teacher or tutor who finds the subject interesting or fascinating. A teacher who wants to more know about the subject.

I find it much more engaging when you have someone who wants to know more about the subject, and wants to share it in a way thats easy to understand.

I shared knowledge about a subject that really interested me to my friend. I tend to talk a lot when I share something I find interesting and I was really relieved when they listened.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think understanding how you learn is important.

If you're a student that struggles with subjects that you don't find fun or engaging, talk to your teacher about making the subject more entertaining. It could be adding color, it could be more patience that you need.

What ever you need is okay to ask for. If your teacher doesn't get it right and it's clear they don't want to help, get a new teacher.

You're here to learn and you're here for assistance. You're not here to pander to someone who couldn't care less about your struggles.

I don't really have a standard pricing system. I haven't charged for tutoring before and I don't want to charge more than necessary.

I think $15/hr is a fair place to start, and I don't think I'll go higher unless it's more advanced material.
