About Heather
I am a 2016 graduate of Shippensburg University with a bachelors degree in education.
I most enjoy seeing students realize their own accomplishments and meet their goals.
I’ve always had a passion for teaching. In high school, I had the opportunity to work in our high school preschool lab and throughly enjoyed it. I also helped out in my church’s children’s classroom. Due to my passion for working with kids, I continued my education in the education field.

When working with a new student, I like to find out exactly what their needs are, what their goal is, and their current skill level. The first few sessions may be used as introduction sessions to see what information the student is missing in order to meet their goal. I also like to review previous work they’ve completed (worksheets, tests, etc.) so I can get a better understanding of the work they are doing.
I have had the pleasure of working with many students. I’ve been in all elementary level grades and have worked with students in life skills and learning support. I have also worked with students with multiple disabilities and visual impairments.

Half hour sessions- $30/each
Hour sessions-$50/each
In home sessions- prices will be the same for a half hour or hour, plus a travel fee of $10-$15 depending on where I’d need to travel to. If you travel to me the fee will remain either $30 or $50 depending on the time needed.
