About Kate

I am a highschool senior with advanced level math skills who can break down math concepts to younger children. Im currently taking advanced calculus with a 97% average and mantain a 4.0 grade point across my highschool career in math classes. This is a start to my tutoring program so I have not had any offical students yet but I cannot wait to get started soon. Due to COVID-19 all my sessions will be remote.

I love working with kids 1st-7th grade to help them understand the basics tenets of math.

I am techinally new to this but I have a strong passion for math and in the past I have proven to be very capable of teaching others math concepts.

I have gotton straight A's in math throughout my whole highschool career. I also have a lot of experience with mentoring and helping younger kids.

About the lesson

I plan to ask my students what methods of teaching have worked for them in the past and if they know specfially what can I do to best help them learn.

In the past I have unoffically worked with students in grade levels 1st-7th.

I would hire a tutor who is patient and willing to stick with a problem untill the student fully understands the content. I would also say somone who is kind and easyily approachable, because it is key that the student can be honest with their teacher and let them know what stratigies work for them.

I remember helping a friend with a math problem, and she the first time I tried to explain the concept to her she still did not understand. But when I explained the problem using a diffrent approach, she had no problem catching on. This experience reminded me that not everyone learns the same and there are multiple ways to go about any problem.
