About Crystal

There is no one way of learning... being able to teach in many styles and techniques makes me unique than your average tutor! Loving music is a plus...I usualy turn every thing into song for quick rememberance.

I have experience tutoring children of all backgrounds and ages. 95% of children I worked with have passed their state exams, finals and have maintained or excelled their grade levels.

As a mother and grad student, education is the most important key to my success and opportunities in life. I have worked over 5+ years in public schools and after school programs grades K-8 and developed a popularity around my local neighborhood.

I am the Crystal Clear Tutor! Not just a name, the perrogative!!

Teaching others new skills!! They say, each one teaches one but I think its more like 100 others.

I have my Bachelors degree in Sociology and Psychology and minor in Statistics. Throughout my educational career, I have been recognized for Math & Science achievements and is top of my graduating class.

I am working towards my certification as a teacher assistant.

I started teaching when I was always used to buddy up with peers who could benefit from my help.  It really mainfested in high school when I began tutoring other students in math, science and history subjects.  I went to school in both Miami Dade County and New York Public Schools.  

After graduating high school, I started to volunteer my tutoring services to local youth and adult programs.  My first full time job was teaching young adults to prepare for GED programs at a church in my neighborhood.  

I recently graduated college and throughout my undergraduate years I also co-taught classes with my professors and was a tutor in the learning center for various subjects.  



I have been a tutor in math and social science subject throughout my college career thus far.  In high school, I was also a tutor for other students as well as volunteeing at after school programs. 

I have experience with training and workshops with all ages in several settings and subjects.  Currently I am studying to become a licensed K-12 teacher for the public school systems.  

There is over 10 year experience of teaching and tutoring where I have been noted as one of the most peculiar and under noticed.

Everyone does not learn in the same pace, style or concepts.  I would like to know what a person's hobbies are, interests or their favorite things to do.  This way I can incorporate techniques or manipulate learning surrounding a new students personality.  Of course most exams would not neceassarily be catered to a student, but learning in this way and mastering the skill first is most important.  Then you can transfer what you have learned "your style" and pass any exam.  I have a unique way of making learning and studying easy for anyone.
