About Elijah
I have experience teaching various ages with a wide range of difficulties. I have been tutoring all throughout college as an SAT tutor. I have 2 degrees in Biology and Biochemistry and graduated with honors. I also believe everyone learns differently so I like to take a wide approach when trying to teach students.
What I enjoy the most about my work is the interaction I get to have with students from various backgrounds. I also find joy in seeing the moment when knowlegde has the ability to click with a student. It also keep me sharp and on top of all the things I have learned over the years.
I got into teaching from the realization during college that teaching actually helped me learn the material during school. Then I started to really enjoy teaching other kids in my class and found enjoyment when they also did well on their test.
I am a double major in Biology and Biochemistry and graduated Cum Laude. I have been tutoring for over 4 years in subjects including Math, Science, and SAT prep

When working with a new student, I like to have a goal-oriented approach. I like to discuss what each students wants out of the tutoring session as a whole. I then figure out where the student is at in regards to the material in which they are trying to learn. After that is established I like to get a brief understanding of the students learning style.
