About Dania

It is my responsibility to help each student deeply understand course material and apply it. The best part as an educator is seeing the growth in my students. As a certified K-12 math teacher in New Jersey, with several years of experience, I know what areas students tend to struggle with and how to help them develop their own understanding through scaffolding, student geared learning, questions, and step-by-step guided notes.

I graduated with a degree in Mathematics Education from Montclair State University. I then quickly began my career teaching in public highschool.

I am a certified K-12 Math teacher in New Jersey. I have 3 years experience teaching high school mathematics (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus). I have also taught higher education math as a graduate assistant.

About the lesson

I begin with a questionaire to better understand my student's stuggles and their learning objectives. Once I have a better understand of my student, I am able to create a structured plan to meet their goals. I will prepare lessons, additional practice, assist them in their course material, help them prepare for exams, etc.

I have taught a diverse students body, which includes students with IEPs and learning disabilities.

As a math tutor, I have taught all levels and ages, and adjust my teaching methods and strategies accordingly.

Students may be intimidated by their math teacher, but the best advice I can give is to find an educator you can trust and feel comfortable with. Find a teacher who is dedicated to your learning and will accomodate your learning needs. Having a teacher who talks too much at you and not with you, may not lead to the best understanding of material.

The quality time I spend teaching my own daughter and watching her grow are some of my fondest memories.
