About Dwight
I want to make learning fun. I will meet you on your level and teach math concepts to you in a way that makes sense to you as an individual.
I love seeing others learn. Learning a new skill or gaining confidence in an area of study can completely change someone's life for the better. When they find new confidence in an area that was a struggle before - that success often spills out to the rest of their lives.
I am always eager to be a part of that process.
I started tutoring friends in high school and continued that into my college years. Learning always came easy to me because I like to see how everything connects. I love helping others connect to learning and am driven by seeing others grow and learn.
I have a Bachelors of Arts in Preaching and tutored math throughout my college career. I am also certified in and train others in the Teaching Family Model - an evidence-based behavioral model that helps teach life skills. This model focuses on using relationship and praise to reinforce new skills. In my current career, I have worked with clients one-on-one to address their shortcomings and find new solutions and new goals.
